As an educational assistant I had the pleasure of working with children with special needs, your duties included: 1. Assisting teachers in preparing lessons and educational materials tailored to each student's needs. 2. Providing individualized support to students with special needs, ages 4 to 12, to help them engage in the learning process. 3. Changing diapers and providing personal care as necessary for students with specific requirements. 4. Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children at all times, especially in potentially hazardous situations. 5. Collaborating with the teaching staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students. 6. Offering emotional support and encouragement to help students overcome challenges and build self-confidence. 7. Facilitating communication between teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to each student's education. 8. Adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. 9. Assisting in managing classroom behavior and promoting a positive learning environment. 10. Keeping accurate records and documentation of student progress and any incidents or developments in their education.
