As a Canadian, I have gained proficiency in a myriad of languages, which include my fluency in both English and French. Over the years I've also been able to develop a significant understanding of conversational Spanish. Though Spanish is not my first language, I've dedicated my attention to fully comprehend its conversational aspects, thus enabling me to comfortably engage in day-to-day discussions with native Spanish speakers. In addition to these languages, I have a basic understanding of other popular European languages. Although still at a nascent stage, my language skills in Portuguese, Italian, and German have shown considerable growth. I am in the process of developing these skills further to advance my repertoire beyond just basics and aim to gain a more profound knowledge in these languages shortly. As for my academic background, presently, I am engaged in pursuing a degree in social sciences at the college level. This field of study has always intrigued me and I am eager to delve deeper into the subject matter to develop a comprehensive understanding of societal behaviour patterns, social institutions, and interpersonal relationships. Aside from my academic life, I have acquired a wealth of practical experience from working with children at a specialized camp. In this role, which was both challenging and rewarding, I worked with the children for over an hour each day. We would delve into a variety of subjects ranging from arts and crafts to mathematics, each day being a new adventure in its own right. This immersive experience has not only honed my teaching abilities but also enriched my skills in children's interpersonal communication.
I worked in a specialized camp, and would spend over and hour daily helping children understand different subjects including (but not limited to): cooking, music, teams sports, science and theatre. I also helped in tutoring 3 elementary school aged kids during my time babysitting them.
