Elisa H.
I am a happy person with a positive attitude on life. I enjoy my work, and I feel very accomplished when I watch how my students change and advance as people. I consider my work to be successful if I can have a good influence on their future.
My name is Elisa and I have achieved my Early Childhood Education Diploma from Fanshawe College in April 2014. Through-out the program I was able to gain knowledge and experience to understand child development. I will use best practices to respond sensitively to children’s temperament. I will work well as a team and collaborate in curriculum planning and implementation. I am willing to participate in all of the programs routines and activities while facilitating learning. I am within good standing with the College of Early Childhood Education and am certified with Second Step program, Kids Have Stress Too Preschool Program and Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale Course. Reflecting on my experience within The Kindergarten Program I allow children to be themselves by creating a bias-free learning environment where the children can develop their emotional, social, physical language and cognitive skills through an emergent curriculum. I encourage the children to use and practice their own problem solving skills while offering positive alternatives to challenging disputes. I include and utilize age appropriate activities that support all developmental domains while collaborating ideas with a teaching partner in small groups or whole class lessons. Graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Fanshawe College. I am currently a permanent employee as an Early Childhood Educator teaching in a full day kindergarten classroom.
