I volunteered to be a Math tutor during my senior year at RE Mountain Secondary School. I was an IB student, taking IB Math Standard Level. I have helped junior students understand their math homework, as well as provided tips and techniques when solving certain Math problems. I have also experience tutoring International students, helping them understand and do any homework they have. Subjects include Math, English, Social Science, Psychology, Chemistry, Biology, Physics. Lastly, I used to work as a Math Instructor at a well-known Math Centre. Every kid (elementary and high school students) has a binder that is designed just for them, depending on what Math topics they are currently learning at school or Math topics they struggle to understand. As their instructor, I mark their work and ensure they get feedback and tips on their mistakes. When marking, I also incorporate Socratic questioning to the extent of their understanding on that topic. Their binder consists of some instructions and techniques, but if they need further understanding or help, then I assist them as well. On a normal day, I work with 4 students per hour, but it ranges depending on how many kids and instructors there are.
