Camiron A.
I am a 19-year-old Social Work student going into my second year of university this fall. I love meeting new people and getting to know them, especially when we are sharing knowledge! I love to read, paint, crochet (I can teach that too!), play guitar, piano and ukulele, and spend time with my dogs!
I have about 7 years of experience teaching different subjects and hobbies! I have taught bareback horse riding for around 6 years from four-year-olds to seniors every year, and it is amazing to watch the connection of human and horse grow. I also starting tutoring a young child for reading in 2019; she made amazing progress in our few months together and in 2017-18 I taught three young children ages 4-10 art, mostly drawing and painting from a book their mother chose as a curriculum with some extra projects the kids and I picked.
Classes I have taken so far in my DipSW: Introduction to Social Work, Social Welfare Policies and Issues, Practicing Social Work from a (Canadian) Indigenous Perspective, Introduction to Psychology, Writing for Academic Success, Lifespan Development (psychology), BioEthics, Fundamentals of Professional Communication, and Cultural Perspectives on Science. This Fall I will take: Intro to Forensic Science, Literature for Young Children, and another Intro to Social Work.
