Throughout a career spanning three decades, my primary profession has always been in an office environment. Despite this, I have continuously found myself drawn to caregiving roles, working alongside my main job to provide care and assistance to those in need. The life skills I have acquired over time have not only helped me single-handedly raise my son but have also guided me to effectively raise well-rounded and well-balanced step-children.
In the course of my caregiving journey, I devoted a significant span of 17 years to look after my father, who was unfortunately afflicted with dementia. This incredibly challenging and humbling experience allowed me to deepen my understanding and compassion towards the most vulnerable segments of our society.
After reflecting on my long-standing career in office work, I felt the need for a change – a career path that would bring me greater fulfillment and a sense of purpose. As such, I transitioned into a caretaking role for special needs youth and adults.
In this role, I found true reward and satisfaction in being able to make a tangible difference in their lives. Additionally, I possess relevant experience in looking after children and toddlers for various private families. For this, I can readily provide references to vouch for my commitment, reliability, and skill in caregiving.
As a person, I am warm and caring by nature. I genuinely care about nurturing the well-being of our society's most vulnerable members. You can trust and rely on me to maintain a high standard of care for your loved ones. The fulfillment derived from caregiving is invaluable to me, and I find immense joy and purpose in making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
I have worked with special needs youth and adults for Can Do People and Turning Leaf.
I was also a care provider for my father who suffered from dementia. I cared for him for 17 years.
