I have been home schooling my high functioning ASD child for quite awhile and we have gotten to the point where I can leave the home to work again. I enjoy working with seniors, children, teens and animals. I love to cook, garden and craft. I’m fun and love to laugh and make peoples lives better, but I also am responsible, compassionate, intelligent and a problem solver. I have experience with working with special needs kids and teens, supporting home schooling children, working with seniors and people with different abilities (disabilities) both in home and in facilities. I have also worked as a personal shopper and I owned a company caring for house rentals and B & B’s in Tofino before I had my son. I have a certificate as a care aide and have taken a variety of training including play therapy, food safe, visualizing and verbalizing, first aid, office management and many more courses and classes including some on conflict resolution and communication. I am also a certified customs specialist. I am hoping to find a part time job during the week, 16-20 hours over 1 or 2 days would be ideal, but I am open to other configurations as well.
