My name is Renata. I am a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) with 13 years of experience. I love helping people and I am providing excellent care. I am looking for a part-time PSW position in Waterloo and the Waterloo Region from Monday to Friday. I speak English and Polish and have my own transportation. I am warm, empathetic, patient, compassionate, dedicated, and professional. I care for clients as if they were my own family.

I have experience taking care of clients with significant cognitive impairments (Dementia, including Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia post stroke), physical disabilities and those who need assistance with activities of daily living. I built my experience as a PSW with private clients, in a long-term care facility and Acclaim Health agency clients . I provide support in the comfort of the client’s home, retirement and nursing home (personal care, meal preparation, feeding, keeping active with daily routines, assistance with medication and companionship/supervision). I am also assist clients with following through on exercise routines recommended by Physiotherapists or other health care providers, and providing supervision in this regard (e. g., assisting with gentle stretches, providing light massage to affected regions, applying medicated creams, supervision with walks and stair climbing). I have excellent interpersonal skills combined with problem-solving and analytical skills when addressing multiple issues faced day to day on the job. I respect my clients culture, tradition and religion. I get along really well with my patients and their families, I do take my job seriously but in a loving and friendly manner that always has a positive effect on all parties. Also I have excellent references and credentials to back up my skills and experience in the field. The activities that I can provide are : reading, swimming, going for walks, playing games, doing arts and crafts, having good conversation and cooking.
