Hi there! I'm Raven, an HCA in my mid-20's. I was born and raised in Victoria and love to spend my free time hiking, surfing, or spending time at the beach. I have a calm, friendly demeanor and bring empathy, validation, patience, and understanding to my work. As well as a professional education in healthcare, I have an in depth understanding of mental health (through post secondary education and supporting loved ones), harm reduction training, and non-violent crisis intervention training. I value meeting people where they're at, providing socioemotional support as part of healthcare, and understand that homecare looks different for every individual. Because of the individual nature of this work I'm happy to meet and discuss what my roles and responsibilities will look like, as well as if I'd be the right fit for you or your family member.

I have 3 years of experience in long term care (through Island Health) working with seniors living with various health concerns including different types of dementia, neurocognitive deficits, Parkinson's, and physical health issues. I have an additional 6 months of experience as an in home caregiver/companion.

I have my Health Care Aide Certificate (2019), CPR (2023), First Aid (2020), as well as post secondary education in psychology and social work.
