My name is Paula and I dwell in North York. I am an experienced caregiver, having served for seven dedicated years in the healthcare industry. I have always held a passion for healthcare, particularly in elder care. This includes administering medications, handling various chores, feeding, grooming, assisting with walking, and making sure my patients are comfortable and content. I take pleasure in offering empathetic care and companionship services, and I am always there to lend a helping hand.
I am available for caregiving services full-time and can start immediately. My schedule is flexible and I am on call mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights, seven days a week. Although I don't have a driver's license or a vehicle, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise in healthcare, making me well-equipped for any scenario.
In the past, I have had experience caring for patients diagnosed with Parkinson's, Alzheimer’s, Diabetes, and other conditions. I am capable of providing services like light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, vacuuming, and taking my patients out for visits or appointments. My aim is to make my patients' life easier and more enjoyable each day.
I have a First Aid and CPR Certificate and also a Caregiver / Companion certification under my belt. Although I prefer working in retirement homes, my ultimate goal is to provide quality, personalized care for my patients, wherever they are most comfortable. I speak English fluently, and I am a non-smoker. Moreover, I am comfortable working with children with disabilities.
Being of Jamaican citizenship, I bring a blend of solid work ethic, compassion, and cultural understanding to my job. I strive to apply my skills and experiences to make a real difference in the lives of people I work with. I look forward to continuing my journey in caregiving, helping more seniors to live a dignified, independent life.
