Yrs old

My name is Halima, a determined 25-year-old woman based in Toronto, dedicated to launching my career in the senior and healthcare sector. I am prepared to start immediately and am flexible to evening and nighttime work, from Monday to Friday. With my certificate as a Personal Support Worker, I am looking forward to a full-time or part time opportunity. My preference is to work in a variety of environments such as home health care, long term care. Thanks to my education, I am adept at a litany of duties ranging from the chores around the house like laundry, meal planning, and pet care to more healthcare-specific tasks like patient positioning, bathing assistance, and even the use of equipment like Hoyer lifts and bed pans. My hands-on experience includes working with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, dementia, cancer, stroke, diabetes, paralysis, hearing impairment, and speech impairment. My goal is to provide diligent care and ensure their comfort while dealing with their specific needs. I am ready to help and provide emotional support to those in my care. Being a fluent speaker of Arabic, English, and Somali, coupled with my Canadian citizenship and a corroborated police check, I am well poised to care for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Despite not having a driver's license or a vehicle for work use, I have a capability for travel and relocation if need be. I am dedicatedly seeking a role as a Personal Support Worker where I can make a positive impact and contribute positively to the lives of the seniors I will provide care for. Regardless of the task at hand - whether it's personal care, household chores, or simply providing companionship - my commitment to delivering empathetic and professional care stays unwavering. I am eager and ready for this rewarding endeavor.

Personal support worker
Hi there, I'm Halima, but you can call me Lima. I've been a PSW for almost 8 months now, working in Long-Term Care and Community Health Care. I graduated last year and decided to go back to school starting May 15th, so I need to adjust my work schedule. Unfortunately, my current job doesn't allow me to change my availability until I've been there for a year, which won't work with my school plans. So, I've decided to only to find a job after 4 pm. A little bit about me: I'm very active and enjoy playing card and board games, which I learned from my clients—I'm really grateful for them. I also love going for walks outside, so if you're up for it, we can go for one daily. Animals are no problem for me—I love them. I genuinely care for people, and if you choose me, you can trust me completely. I'll treat you just like I would my own parents. I'm a people person and love having fun. So my main goal is to ensure your comfort and well-being while providing you with the assistance you need to live comfortably at home. Here are some of the things I'll be doing to help you: -Helping you with daily tasks like bathing, grooming, dressing, and using the bathroom. -Assisting with moving around the house safely, whether it's walking, transferring to a chair, or using mobility aids. -Making sure you're eating well by preparing meals and helping you with feeding if necessary. -Giving you any medications you need, following the instructions from your healthcare team. -Keeping an eye on your vital signs and letting the rest of the team know if anything changes. -Keeping your home clean and tidy, and helping out with laundry and other household chores. -Spending time with you, chatting, playing games, or just keeping you company. -Making sure everything we do together is in line with your care plan and documenting any important information.
