Currently looking for FT / PT employment. In 2015, I graduated from the University of Prince Edward Island earning my Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Business Administration. Afterwards, I continued to further my education by earning my diploma in Addiction Care and Treatment from the University of British Columbia - Contuining Professional Development in 2018. I have experience in the following areas: - cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) - crisis intervention and prevention - diversity and outcomes - aboriginal awareness - play therapy - ASIST I have completed training and successfully earned my certification in administering medication. I have standard first-aid and level c - CPR. I have experience working with children and adolescences. I worked as a child and youth worker (CYW) at a residential treatment facility with vulnerable clients in Alberta. I have also worked as a nanny before - providing childcare for two young children. I love spending time outside and being active. I enjoy making crafts and other activities as long as the child is kept engaged because I believe engagement is valuable and important for social development. I don't have any work experience in regards in caring for the adult/service care. However, I have experience with dealing with oxygen administration, catheter care as well as dressing and grooming. I would provide care to the elderly in the best way that I could, and ensuring that they feel comfortable and safe at all times.
