Hello there, I am Naah , a young and dedicated health care professional hailing from Cameroon. Currently, I am pursuing my Health Studies from the University of Regina, with a particular interest in serving the sick and contributing positively to the community. I have two years of experience under my belt, and I am outfitted with a BSc. degree in Nursing and midwifery, validated by Canadian equivalence.
My availability spans across the entire week, including mornings, evenings, and nights, making me highly flexible to meet your scheduling needs. I have considerable experience working with children with disabilities and I am comfortable in a live-out arrangement.
Looking for both full-time and part-time positions, I am prepared to perform a wide range of duties to ensure patient comfort. These include everything from bed pan management, assistance with ambulation, heavy lifting, bathing, dressing, and toileting, to conducting housekeeping chores, such as laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning, and even pet care. With my strong organizational skills and caring spirit, I am also adept at planning visits, outings, and trips.
In my journey as a caregiver, I have worked with a diverse set of patients suffering from Alzheimer's, Dementia, Cancer, Stroke and other ailments. I am theoretically and practically equipped to handle diagnoses such as Congestive heart failure, Dialysis, Pneumonia and so on.
Educationally, I am armed with a Bachelor's Degree and College certification, CPR and First Aid Certificates, Caregiver / Companion, and Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate. I am open to work in retirement homes, home health care setups, as well as clinics and hospitals.
As a caregiver and personal support worker, my ultimate goal is to engage in meaningful work, providing the best possible care for those who need it most.
I worked at The Bamenda Regional Hospital Cameroon where worked as a geriatric, palliative care nurse. I possess nursing degree as well .
I also worked at Nest Home care LLC in the US. I have a perfect understanding of how to take care of the elderly. I grew up with my grandmother, who took care of me when I was younger, and I later on took care of her during her last years of life as she suffered from Dementia and other age related diseases. So it's safe to say i have more than 2 years of experience. I tend to treat every elderly as though they were my grandmother.
