I am a non-smoker and have a caregiver/personal support worker (PSW) certificate, health care aides (HCA) certificate, home support worker certificate, first aid certificate, and CPR certificate from college. As a caregiver/companion, I am skilled in various tasks including housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning/preparation, errands, and bathroom cleaning. I am also capable of assisting with pet care, walking, vacuuming, hand washing dishes, and escorting individuals to appointments. Moreover, I can plan visits, outings, and trips to visit neighbors, friends, and family. In terms of personal care, I am experienced in providing bathing assistance, Alzheimer/dementia care, palliative care, Parkinson care, lifts and transfers, injections, tube feeding, patient positioning, catheter/colostomy care, bed baths, oxygen administration, bedpan assistance, ambulation assistance, heavy patient lifting and transfer, Hoyer lift operation, dressing/grooming assistance, toileting assistance, and range of motion exercises. I prefer working in home health care and have experience working with patients diagnosed with Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke, bedridden conditions, hospice care, diabetes, visual impairment, paralysis, arthritis, undergoing chemotherapy/radiation treatment, hearing impairment, speech impairment, dialysis, and pneumonia.
