• Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions. • Creates individual nursing care plan for patients, making use of available resources in executing a procedure and implemented in an effective manner. • Carry out admission and discharge procedures. • Evaluates the nursing care given and took corrective action when and if necessary. • Initiate intravenous line cannulation and collected blood samples as requested by the physician for laboratory investigations. • Administer medications and blood products, and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols. • Perform basic nursing procedures like bed making, bathing, shampooing nasogastric tube feeding and urinary catheterization. • Prepare the patient and the necessary equipment for diagnostic procedures and assists physicians as required. • Assist minor surgeries in the Emergency Room. • Teaches and counsels patients and their families on health-related issues in collaboration with other health care providers. • Respond to emergency medical situations.
