I have always had a passion for wanting to take care of people and making them happy by making their lives even a little better — which led me to pursue the Personal Support Worker program in Algonquin College, where I will be graduating from this June 2023. I had my clinical placements in Park Place retirement homes, where I learned to work with both the staffs and the residents. In addition to learning the proper ways of taking care of the residents, I also learned to adapt to a team setting and taking initiative when the situation called it. I also had the opportunity to strengthen my therapeutic communication skills during my placement.

I recently had my clinical placement for the PSW program in Park Place retirement home, wherein I provided care and helped with activities of daily living such as feeding, giving a bath, transferring with lifts, and perineal care. I will also be having my consolidation at Peter D Clark this April 3 until April 23, 2023.
