Hello! I am Annaliza, a highly qualified and experienced caregiver currently residing in Oakville. I hail from the beautiful Philippines where I gained years of professional experience working for private individual, and I also did some training at the West Visayas University Medical Hospital. My primary duties there included providing all forms of assistance to elderly patients, especially those from the Geriatric Ward.
I hold a bachelor's degree in Accountancy, alongside a caregiving course from the St Augustine School of Nursing. My skillset further extends to having taken a National Competency Assessment for Caregivers from TESDA, a globally recognized qualification. I'm also proud to mention that I'm comfortable with both my native language, Filipino, and English, having achieved an average score of 6.5 in the IELTS.
As for availability, I am extremely flexible and can work any day of the week, morning to night. Whether as a live-in or part-time option, your choice, I can start immediately. My preferred place of work is in retirement homes, although I'm open to all kinds of caregiving or personal support worker roles.
Throughout the years, I've had the privilege of working with patients with a range of diagnoses, including cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment, and those managing conditions like diabetes and congestive heart failure. I'm well-equipped to provide a spectrum of services from grooming, bathing, toileting assistance, housekeeping, laundry and grocery shopping to planning visits/outings and escorting patients to appointments.
My love for caregiving stretches beyond humans. In fact, I consider myself a fur mom to my beloved 3-year-old Dachshund back in the Philippines, so I am more than happy to assist with pet care.
My goal is to bring warmth, companionship, and professional care to those who need it. I look forward to the opportunity to strengthen your beloved family.
Back in my Home Country I was able to performed and experienced the following caregiving responsibilities;
• Provided compassionate care during a challenging health period
• Managed medication schedules, coordinated medical appointments, and ensured adherence to treatment plans
• Demonstrated exceptional patience, empathy, and attention to detail in addressing daily needs and enhancing overall well-being
• Provided companionship and emotional support
• Provided housekeeping tasks such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and proper waste disposal
• Drove to hospital and clinic for regular checkups, laboratory procedures, chemotherapy and radiation sessions
• Collaborated with health care professionals to stay informed about the latest developments in the patient’s care
• Developed strong organizational and time management skills to balance caregiving responsibilities with other commitments
I may lack Canadian experience but I am very much willing to learn everything the job requires and develop whatever skills that I'm required to have. I can easily adapt to new challenges because I always believe that nothing cant be learned If you persevere.
