I have been a personal support worker for over 19 years, holding regional positions at two locations, as well as a hospital and an outreach living program. I have gained extensive experience in retirement and palliative care. I have had the privilege of helping two families keep their loved ones at home during the COVID-19 outbreak. (RESPITE) EXTENSIVE CARE EXPERIENCE I formerly worked for a quadriplegic lawyer who was on life support for 30 years. I managed his bedside care for eight hours daily, administered his medications, and maintained proper oxygen levels to be able to lay him down to sleep before leaving for the day. Additionally, I took charge of training his live-in staff before I moved on to work for the Region of Haldimand County. There, I further advanced my training in Gentle Persuasive Approaches (GPA), the Montessori method, mental health, and palliative care. My passion for helping people continually inspires me. As a single mother of four, I am proud that my children also cherish the opportunity to help others in our community.
