Hello, I am originally from Nova Scotia where I was born and raised. I like to believe I carry the friendly and caring Nova Scotia spirit with me. I moved to Ontario for college and have remained here ever since. I truly enjoy this province and all the beauty it has to offer. I have worked with children, youth and adults throughout my entire career. I first started out as a teacher, moved into Child and Youth care where I still remain a current Member in the Association, and was a Nanny for a few years for a family with 3 children. I continued the journey with my longest career at Christian Horizons- Now called Karis Disability Services where I was employed for over 11 years and completed a Leadership Certificate with the University of Waterloo. I gained a lot of experience and knowledge in how to support people well throughout this career. I also learned many office tasks as I was the finance coordinator for our program for the last 7 years as well as scheduling coordinator. My future desire is to work with seniors and that is why I have ended my career at Karis. I hope to show kindness and care in my support as I know many seniors want to remain living in their own home later in life.
