Hello, my name is Amandeep, a compassionate caregiver based in Edmonton, who has a strong desire to help others. Even though I am new to professional caregiving, my commitment to ensuring the dignity, comfort, and safety of my clients is first and foremost. I acquired my Caregiver / Companion and Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate making me equipped not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills essential in my field. I offer a wide range of services including but not limited to oxygen administration, bed pan management, ambulation assistance, heavy patient lifting & transfers, toileting assistance, bathing and dressing assistance, range of motion exercises, laundry, meal planning and preparation, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, dishwashing, and Alzheimer/Dementia care. I am also capable of delivering palliative care, Parkinson Care, tube feeding, patient positioning, and catheter/colostomy care as part of my services. In regard to work schedules, I am available to work from Monday to Friday during the mornings. Although I currently have no experience working with children with disabilities, I am open to learning and acquiring new skills. I am seeking a live-in, full-time personal support role preferably in Home Health Care, Retirement Homes, or clinics. Despite my limited experience, I am proficient in assisting patients suffering from various conditions including Speech Impairment, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, Cancer, Stroke, Diabetes, Incontinence, Osteoporosis, Visual Impairment, Paralysis, and Hearing Impairment. My ultimate goal is to provide comfort, safety, and companionship to those that require my assistance while also maintaining their independence and dignity. I am looking forward to starting my caregiving career on the 1st of May, 2024.
