Hello, my name is Meseret and I am a dedicated, 37-year-old woman residing in Edmonton. Though I am new to the field, I am eager to serve and have completed pertinent education that has prepared me for my desired job as a Personal Support Worker. I am equipped with a Caregiver/Companion certification, a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate, a Health Care Aides (HCA) certificate, and a First Aid certificate. My sincere passion is to bring comfort, safety, and companionship to people.
My preferred working environments are Retirement Homes, hospital or clinic setting, and Home Health Care. I have worked with patients with conditions like Alzheimer's, Dementia, Diabetes, Incontinence (diapers), Visual Impairment, Paralysis and Brain Tumor. I am versatile in the services I can provide, which range from housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, meal planning/preparation to running errands, cleaning bathrooms, assisting with pet care, and helping with mobility.
I am available to start working immediately. My most flexible times are weekday mornings from Monday to Friday. Even though I am not able to relocate or travel extensively due to family commitments, I am in possession of a driver’s license and have my own vehicle for use on the job. I am also able to live-out and put my full dedication to the role during my work hours. Please note that I have had police check clearance for your peace of mind. I am an African woman with dual citizenship and have a thorough understanding of multicultural complexities in healthcare settings.
While I have no limitation to work with children with disabilities, I prefer to work with the elderly or adults. As a mother myself, I inherently understand the need for compassion and patience which I extend to my clients as well.
