Allow me to share a bit about myself: My name is Joanne, a passionate Filipina. One of my passions in life is giving care and support to those who find themselves in difficult times or life situations. It brings me joy to lend a hand where it's needed and make a real difference in people’s lives. On the personal front, I am currently single and have not yet embarked on the journey of parenthood. Amidst the busy hustle of life, I find solace in the simple yet satisfying activities I engage during my leisure hours. One of these is cooking. There’s an undeniable sense of satisfaction that comes from preparing a meal from scratch and seeing others enjoy it. My nurturing instincts don't just extend to the kitchen — I also love to take care of plants. My apartment is graced with a variety of indoor greens which add life and color to my space. My pets are an equally important part of my life. I am the proud owner of a fish aquarium. It's become one of my favorite aspects of home, offering a calming backdrop to my everyday life. I'm also an outdoor enthusiast. Once the summer sun begins to shine, you'll often find me out fishing or setting up camp in some of the most scenic spots. The tranquility of a quiet lake or the thrill of a bustling campground are experiences that never fail to rejuvenate me. During the colder months, I take pleasure in partaking in a range of winter activities. Ice skating and snowshoeing rank high on my list of fulfilling winter pastimes. Lastly, although I wouldn't consider myself fluent just yet, I am able to communicate in French at a very basic level. It's a beautiful language that I am keen to continue learning and becoming more proficient in, with time.

I have an ample amount of experience with elderly people who have Dementia and Alzheimer’s. Some of my duties and responsibilities as a caregiver are: meal preparation and feeding, administering prescribed medications, changing diapers, provide bed bath or assist in bed repositioning, using hoyer lifts or ceiling lifts to transfers, assist in daily hygiene care. I have certification of First Aid, CPR and Basic Life Support provider under Heart and Stroke Canada.
