I have 5 years of continuous experience being a Healthcare Aide here in Canada since 2017. I am looking for a full time stay in 8 hour shift work with preference to a decent accommodation. -Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene activities. Assist with feeding residents, providing support in their nutritional intake. -Assist with toileting, bed transfers, lifting, turning and walking. -Assists with mobilization and provision of rehabilitative support for patient/resident based on their individualized care plan. -Promoting resident’s independence, ensuring personal care and comfort of the residents. - Assists with hearing aids, glasses and prosthesis. Assists with bowel and bladder care routines. preserving each patient/resident abilities and dignity - Weigh patient/resident and records accordingly. Collects specimens as directed. - Maintains confidentiality in accordance with the Personal Health Information Act. -Assist with range of motion exercises. Assists with hearing aids, glasses and prosthesis. -Assist with simple wound care, respiratory equipment use and urinary care. -Report on resident condition to the nurse. -Establishing rapport and communication. Providing comfort and establishing safety measures. -Adhere in all aspects of resident’s plan of care, including measures to prevent the spread of infection. - Ensures all facility equipment are in good working order and reports faulty devices to the charge nurse. Operates mechanical equipment according to established safety standards. - Understands and follows legislation and workplace safety and health requirements. Follows established safe work practices. - Report incidents that result in injury to patient/resident, staff, visitors or self and reports unsafe acts and workplace hazards. - Assists in determining the cause of accidents and supportive to corrective action. -Restocks hygiene supplies as per schedule Replenishes supplies in patient/resident care areas. -Adheres to the cleaning schedule which includes assistive mobility aids, tub room, utility room and patient/resident personal care items -Provides a neat and clean environment for all patient/resident maintain to code of cleanliness and sanitation as outlined in the infection Control Procedures. bed making and general cleaning and tidying of the patient/ resident care areas
