Alberta is my home Province but I’m originally from the Southern Caribbean. I came to Canada under the live in caregiver program, and worked in Ontario before settling in beautiful Alberta. I’ve been a Canadian citizen for a long time. I enjoy nurturing the young and protecting and caring for the elderly. I am a great cook. I’m trained in the areas of Food and Beverage Management, Business Administration and Human Services. I am also a Health Care Aide. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing about their life experiences. At this time I am interested in a one year renewable contract taking care of seniors, providing palliative care, or assisting persons with limited mobility. I have cared for a few wonderful centenarians, and have helped enrich the lives of so many. My experience has been mostly exciting and enjoyable but undoubtedly diverse. I have done some complex care such as tracheotomy care, ostomy and catheter care. I’ve cared for a number of persons with TBIs, broken bones and mental challenges. With Covid 19 concerns, I am prepared to limit my contacts and even live- in, for everyone's comfort and safety. I am fully vaccinated. Music, reading, writing and dancing are some of my interests. I am capable, caring, loyal, pleasant, flexible, humorous, and intelligent. I think critically and never seem panicked. I have a clean driver’s abstract, great references and a clear police record. I’m ready for my next adventure.

I’ve worked in senior homes, group care settings and with persons privately. I’ve managed overnight shifts, managed a household with a vulnerable couple. I understand the importance of recording observations. Clients are different but communication is always important. I’m trained and experienced, but most importantly I’m intelligent and empathetic. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I enjoy meal preparation and try to provide a holistic experience for clients.
