I recently moved out to Victoria to pursue a career in wildlife conservation. I live in a beautiful apartment with my partner, who works as a journalist. I love to read and watch films, especially wildlife documentaries. I recently saw one about cougars in British Columbia and was captured by it. Moving to Victoria, I've discovered an entirely different fauna and flora. Every day is a new adventure, looking up at different species of trees, accosted by families of squirrels. I am originally from Northern Spain, where I completed a Master's in Marine Ecology. In order to find work and pay for my studies, I traveled to an array of different countries. I, therefore, gained extensive experience in multiple different fields. I grew up with two dogs, and constantly walked my neighbor's and friend's dogs when they are out of town. I have worked as a pet sitter during my stay in Montreal, taking care of dogs and cats. I further worked in conservation taking care of baby turtles, permitting them to hatch and reach the ocean. I have a Master's degree in Marine Ecology and plan to pursue a career in conservation. I am always surrounded by animals and understand them both on an experience and academic level. I speak several languages but speak animal language best. fourthreeeight.eightsevenfive.fouronesixsix. I completed a Bachelor's degree at the University of Vigo in Marine Science in 2017. I further completed a Master's degree in Marine Ecology in 2020, specifically working on microalgae. I have experience working in Cape Verde, creating safe spaces for baby turtles to hatch and then find their way to the ocean. It was exhausting work since it demanded sleeping on three-hour shifts to protect the turtles at all hours of the day. This work was necessary because they are on brink of extinction.

I was born and raised in Victoria so I know the city and surrounding parks etc very well. I am comfortable with overnights so long as the house is close ish to my home. I have a cat of my own whom I like to check on if I am away overnight. I have pet sat in my neighbours home for their Bengal cats for three Christmas'. They go over seas and I stay in their home for 2-3 months. I have also dog sat for 3 senior dogs that required a considerable amount of medications to be put in their food morning and night. I am very experienced with extra animal tasks and walking. I have been a professional dog walker a year and a half.

My name is Layla, I am a passionate and animal-loving individual from Victoria. I've been lucky enough to grow up in a home full of animals, particularly cats and dogs. This environment nurtured my understanding of how to care for and respect all animals from a young age. Even though I currently don't have a pet of my own, it has always been rewarding for me to lend a hand and support others in caring for their furry companions. With an energetic and positive demeanor, I spend most of my time outdoors and wouldn't mind sharing that time with your pets. My hobbies include home projects, taking long walks, and spending time at the beach. Given my flexible working hours and willingness to travel, I look forward to providing reliable and loving care to your pets. I can't wait to meet and care for your beloved pets! I have been always surrounded by animals dogs, cats and always had a bunny while growing up. I moved out a year ago and have missed having furry babies around! I am a part time nanny and have taken care of my clients kids and pets for about for a few years now. I have house sat for many lovely families, my mother is a house cleaner and I would watch a lot of her clients houses. I am very good at being aware of someone else’s space and treating it with my full respect.
