Originally from India, I grew up in a vegetarian, animal-loving, socially active household deeply rooted in Jainism and dedicated to social service and animal welfare. I have actively volunteered with NGOs, focusing on animal welfare initiatives such as promoting adoption and fundraising for shelters. Personally, I take pride in having raised three dogs and rescued a cat, ensuring they found loving homes. Furthermore, my family's commitment to animal welfare runs deep, with my parents being core members of an organization that sponsors and maintains three cattle shelters, providing sanctuary for sick and non-lactating cows and buffalos to live out their natural lives without being slaughtered for meat. I have been actively involved in this endeavor, nurturing and caring for these animals. Moreover, my sister's expertise in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation adds another dimension to our family's commitment to animal welfare. She has contributed significantly to various foundations and government projects, including SHER, focused on protecting the Bengal tiger and its natural habitat.
