Seeking a special individual who is compassionate, patient and understanding to provide skilled personal support for a busy executive in West Vancouver. We are seeking an attentive and trustworthy assistant who is experienced in providing exemplary care and support for an active and busy executive in West Vancouver. Primary functions are to ensure the client’s home is organized, clean and tidy, healthy meal preparation, and the running of errands. Qualified individual is one who understands the importance of helping this busy executive maintain a high quality of life. We are looking for a committed individual who has impeccable communication skills and can problem solve on the spot. Must have a driver’s license and will be required to drive to run errands, doctor’s appointments & recreational or social outings. Previous experience and knowledge working in a similar position is required. Primary responsibilities / services include but not limited to the following: - Preparing healthy meals and cleaning up meal-related items - Performing housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, taking out trash / recycling, cleaning bathrooms, kitchen, etc.) - Keep the inside of the home as well as the immediate external areas clean (porch, patio, walk ways, garden) - Washing and ironing laundry (drop off & pick up dry cleaning -as necessary) - Plant care (garden & household) - Pick up prescriptions (ensuring that medication reminders are kept as well as appointment reminders) - Grocery shopping and running errands - Organize & clean closets - Assisting with shopping, keeping a detailed financial record of all transactions - Answering the telephone and greeting guests or business associates for meetings at the home - Incoming / outgoing mail organization - Cooking and serving on special events for family and or guests - Cleaning of glass surfaces (windows, etc. as required) - Occasional power washing of outside patio area - Balance and maintain hot tub water care Skills and Qualifications: - Personal attributes and soft skills: Patience, Attentiveness, Concern, Empathy, Domestic Tasks, Listening, Communication, Positive Attitude, Discretion, Punctuality, Friendliness - Fluent in English (impeccable written and oral communication skills) - Previous related job experience - Valid driver’s license and vehicle required - Professional and friendly attitude - Willingness to work flexible hours - Nursing background considered an asset - Non-smoking
