We are a professional couple with one child and one more due this summer. We are looking to hire someone part-time (two-three mornings per week, to be negotiated with right candidate) on a long-term contract. The job will entail mostly housekeeping and food preparation. Housekeeping duties will include (but not limited to): - Cleaning washrooms - Dusting - Cleaning floors - vacuuming carpets, sweeping/mopping hard floors - Laundry - Changing bed linens - Cleaning the kitchen - Dishes (using dishwasher and hand-washing things that cannot go in the dishwasher) - Very occasional ironing as needed - Food preparation The ideal candidate will: - have good communication skills - be flexible and willing to help if extra needs arise, as long as they are able - be physically fit as our home has many stairs - behave professionally ie be punctual, not use their phone during work hours, not cause drama etc - have the ability to run errands like pick up some groceries during work hours so a driving licence and car would be an asset - have childcare experience and a good nature to play with our 5-year old once in a while - have current police clearance, up to date immunisations etc Please note, we have allergies so our home is free from wheat, tree nuts, sesame, and scented products. The employee will agree not to bring these onto the premises. We are also sensitive to smoke so smokers need not apply.
