Busy family household with 2 young adults with specials needs requires a Mother's Helper who can handle both housekeeping and support worker duties in a nice family home. Housekeeper aspect of the job includes normal household cleaning duties as one would expect - cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, vacuuming, laundry, ironing, beds, etc. In addition, detail cleaning projects would also be required when appropriate such as cleaning the oven, inside of fridge, hood vent, etc. Getting meals ready or at least started would also alleviate workload on me which would be fantastic. Support worker duties include supervising the young adults, guiding them to become further independent with the ultimate goal of them being able to live in their own home. Guiding them to manage their time to complete their daily duties (meal preparations, homework, household chores) would be a large part of the role. Thinking this would be a 3 day per week role to begin with (10 am - 6pm) and we could be flexible on which days for the right candidate. Ideally this would develop into a long term situation with additional opportunities for housesitting or being support worker when we are out of town for business. Comfortable with pets would be ideal as we sometimes dogsit for Grama.
