I am seeking a part-time housekeeper to assist with a range of duties in my house. This position calls for an individual capable of handling a variety of tasks, revolving mostly around cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a neat and orderly living environment. The work will be spread across the week, with duties falling into Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, during morning and middle of the day. The commitment will be 20 to 30 hours per week. This opening is available to both live-in and live-out candidates, based on personal preference and suitability. Job responsibilities will entail keeping the inside of the home and immediate external areas clean. Kitchen duties will involve handling dishes, cleaning the inside and outside of the fridge, cupboards, oven, dishwasher, pantry, counters and floors. The external cleaning will involve the outside of the oven, fridge, and dishwasher. Clothing maintenance including laundry (washing and drying of clothing and household items), ironing, as well as managing the rotation of seasonal clothing in closets will be part of the scope of work. The housekeeper will also take charge of the kitchen, with daily cooking and meal preparation along with specific cooking and serving requirements for special family events or guests. Importantly, grocery shopping, household errands and ensuring that the household supplies are fully stocked will be part of the housekeeper's brief. The more specialized tasks will involve handling household finances, paying bills, maintaining the pantry and routinely clearing out of date and spoiled items. Care and attention will also extend to household plants and garden, alongside more standard tasks such as bed making and linen changing. Please take note, while a driver's license isn't necessary for this role, the housekeeper should be able to manage tasks effectively without relying on automobile use.
