Am the mother of two teenage children a boy and girl who are in High School, we moved to the Barhaven area just over one year ago. We previously lived in WILNO Ontario which is two hours west of Ottawa. We moved to Ottawa because we lost our house to a fire where we lost everything. Rather than rebuild on the same location we decided to move away from the area, because the fire was to traumatic for the family so we decided to start a new life in Ottawa. Since our arrival in Barhaven, I have not worked outside the house. I now feel that the time is right for me to start looking for a job and start a new life. Both of my children are in High School, so I am able to do something other than being a home care provider to my family. My husband is retire so he can manage the home affairs. I was born in Thailand, and met my husband in Bangkok, while he was on assignment there with the department of Foreign Affairs. My daughter was born in Bangkok, and my son was born in Barbados where my husband was on assignment there at the Canadian embassy. We moved back to Canada in 2012 when my husband retired from the Foreign Service. As my resume shows I did some cleaning service jobs when we lived in WILNO Ontario, as the jobs in that area were very limited. I enjoyed this type of work because it gave me flexibility and I was able to meet and work with a lot of interesting people. I now would like do re enter the workplace in a similar capacity.

My last experience in housekeeping was at Sunny Hill Resort in Barry’s Bay ON. I worked with a cleaning team to service summer homes and other smaller commercial buildings. The duties required restocking supplies, changing bedsheets, towels, emptying waste baskets, cleaning BBQs,, adhering to professional house cleaning checklists, completing special tasks such as turning mattresses on set schedules, engaging with guests on room requirements and amenities to promote overall satisfaction, maintained spaces with routine upkeep and basic repairs, coordinating with management on more advanced needs. Disinfecting and mopping bathrooms to keep facilities sanitary and clean.
