My name is Ethan . A 23-year-old soon-to-be graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University, I will be receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, with a specialization in Hospitality and Tourism. I am passionate about food and the creation of lasting memories that commence with a meal. This passion for food propelled me to pursue my studies at Toronto Metropolitan University and to concurrently work in kitchens since the age of 18.
My cooking experience spans various regions, including pastry, sourdough baking, and the preparation of diverse cuisines, with a strong background in Italian cooking—reflecting my own cultural heritage. Additionally, I have gained insight into various dietary needs through adopting clean eating habits in my personal life.
Beyond the realm of food, my hobbies and interests include listening to music from all genres, with a particular fondness for jazz. My appreciation for wine and spirits has motivated me to expand my knowledge of wine pairings with meals and to experiment with cocktails.
Being the eldest child in my family, combined with my experiences as a swim instructor and volunteer at summer camps for children aged 6-12, has also equipped me with skills in interacting with children. I consider myself a fun and outgoing individual, always striving to foster an enjoyable ambience in my workplace.
I have worked for the past 6 years in kitchens, bakeries as well as a farm, learning to work efficiently and organized to produce quality results for the customer. I value the experiences made over food and power of a meal and I truly believe I embody the skills necessary to provide nurturing meals for families. I have progressed my skills in the kitchen in conjunction to my studies at Toronto Metropolitan University working towards a Bachelor of Commerce, specializing in Hospitality and Tourism. This industry is one I care deeply about and where my passion lies.
I will be graduating with a Bachelors Degree of Commerce this upcoming October, with a specialization in Hospitality and Tourism.
