For the majority of my 15-year-long professional journey, I've been honing my skills in nursing, childcare, and most importantly, cooking. The kitchen brings me happiness, and whether it's baking pastries, preparing daily meals, organizing food for events, or creating dietary meals, I've done it all with love. I'm from Venezuela, and over the years, I've gained expertise in various cuisines, including Italian, Vegetarian, Vegan, and of course, Latin foods from different countries such as Peru, Colombia, Chile, and my homeland. In addition to my cooking skills, I also take pride in my table setting and serving, maintaining kitchen hygiene, purchasing products, washing dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and creating menus that marry my employers' preferences and my culinary creativity. My solid background in cooking is supported by my Food Handler’s Certification and my broad range of special skills like the knowledge of modern cooking technology and hygienic standards, experience in managing other employees, and barbecuing. I also have experience in professional plating and I've worked in the confectionery industry and in catering. Currently residing in Edmonton, I am ready to start working immediately. I am available full-time, specifically during mornings and middle of the day, from Monday to Saturday. I prefer a live-out arrangement and the types of employment I'm seeking vary from being a private/personal cook, pastry chef, chef for events, family cook, cook for childcare/school, to a dietary cook.
