I am a 64-[/year-old woman with MS confined to a wheelchair. I need help with all activities of daily living, including personal care, although I am fine cognitively. I am looking for somebody that has strong experience on a portable Hoyer lift as my disease has taken away my leg strength and I can no longer transfer myself. You should be fluent in English with good communication and organization skills. You should have cooking and housekeeping skills and be physically fit enough to help me with some basic stretching and strengthening exercises. I weigh about 150 pounds. I have a family which includes grandchildren and have a busy social life. I enjoy art and music and healthy cooking and eating. I live on the seawall close to the recreation centre and the library. I am currently looking for somebody to cover one month vacation of my principal caregiver who will be gone from August 25 to September 26. I currently have somebody working Thursday Friday Saturday and this requires somebody to work either Sunday and Monday or perhaps Tuesday and Wednesday 24 hour shift overnight. The person I hire must be legally allowed to work in Canada and have a social insurance number.
