We invite a compassionate, responsible and caring individual to join my Parents' Day-to-day life as a full-time, live-in senior caregiver. This is a significant role, and you will be stepping in to assist my parents, who are at their respectable ages of 89 and 85, complete their everyday tasks and activities. This position provides a unique opportunity to positively affect the lives of two remarkable individuals. Your primary responsibility will be to aid my father in daily activities such as rising from bed, eating, bathing, and using the restroom. While my mother is largely self-sufficient, she requires assistance with physically demanding tasks relating to my father's care. Your broad responsibilities also include help with walking, patient positioning, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting besides offering a comforting and reassuring companionship to my parents. Fluency in English and Italian is highly desirable given my parents' language preferences. This live-in position typically involves a work commitment of 40 to 50 hours per week. The live-in arrangement comprises a fully furnished, one-bedroom basement suite, equipped with a kitchen, a cozy living room with TV, internet facilities, laundry amenities, and a private bathroom. Owning a valid driver's license will be an added advantage, as you may occasionally accompany my parents for doctor appointments, supermarket trips, and church visits. Free street parking is available. Note, however, most of the driving-related tasks will be handled by me. My parents follow Catholic faith, and it’s important that their caregiver respects their religious beliefs and contributes to a harmonious living and working atmosphere.
