Responsibilities Home helper and personal caregiver services needed for general housekeeping, errands and transportation. The primary responsibilities include: - Address needs with respect and attention to safety - Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, and using the bathroom - Actively engage through conversation and companionship - Engage in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity - Help with meal preparation, planning, and grocery shopping - Help with physical therapy exercises - Maintain a safe environment - Maintain a medication schedule and ensuring client take medicines on time - Help with shopping and errand running - Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions - Perform light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.) - Wash and iron laundry - Accompany client to appointments - Perform basic first aid and emergency care during critical situations - Provide friendship and emotional support to the individual Other responsibilities include: - Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance the client’s quality of life - Perform other reasonable duties as assigned - Report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions - Regularly communicate with the family of client Qualifications: - High school diploma or college degree required - Current CPR certification - Must be at least 21 years of age - Valid driver's license with a registered vehicle that is insured - Ability to pass a background check - Current first aid certification - Ability to read and speak English - Proven ability to behave with respect and compassion - Possess a professional and upbeat attitude - Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
