I am looking for help with my elderly husband who has dementia. He is mostly able to do his own personal care, but needs prompting. At this point he needs no physical care, but needs to be reminded to do daily self care such as shaving, bathroom, eating, etc. He attends a day program while I work full time. My main reason for seeking help , is so that I can go away on a trip once in a while for a few weeks and know that he is well cared for. I need someone who would be able to live-in when I am away and be his full time caregiver - this would include supervising him as he gets up in the morning, preparing his meals, supervising his bathing, helping him get ready for bed. I am planning a trip in late winter this year , and again during the summer. When I am not away, there would be the opportunity to do some part-time work, around 10 – 20 hours a week. I am quite flexible about hours and even duties, the main thing that is essential is the full-time live-in care when I am away.
