We are looking for a companion / caregiver to spend time with our father a few times per week, at my parents’ home in Byron interacting with him, driving him where he would like to go, while also providing caregiver relief to our mother. Our Dad is fully capable physically but suffered a couple of minor strokes over the past two years and has lost partial vision as well as now has trouble with speech / language. Ideally our Dad would like someone: ·        With a patient and pleasant manner who likes to converse so he can continue to practice his conversational skills, ·        To assist with speech therapy exercises provided in between his appointments, ·        To assist with light housekeeping duties, ·        With a valid driver’s license to be able to take him out for errands, visit friends, etc., and someone ·        With current First Aid and CPR certification in case of an emergency.
