We are in search of a compassionate personal care aide to provide ADL care for a tracheostomy and ventilator dependent male in the Langley City Area. The position is in a private home. Preference will be given to experienced care aides who are licensed or certified. Responsibilities include: - Personal hygiene tasks such as showering, washing, toileting, dressing and grooming - Tube feeding - Medication assistance - Tracheostomy care - Ventilator management - Operating a ceiling lift Job Requirements: - Preference will be given to applicants with formal Care Aide training, but we are willing to train a suitable candidate - Current First Aid certification is required - Applicants must have a valid BC Driver's Licence - Applicants must have a solid command of the English language and be able to communicate and listen effectively - Applicants must have no history of criminal background Job Type: Full-time, part-time, permanent Salary: $264.00 per shift. Shifts are 12 hours long from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM Availability: Monday to Sunday. Employees can work either three or four 12-hour shifts per week. Also available are on-call night shifts from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM.
