We are looking for a Caregiver for my elderly father who lives in his own home. The hours of work are as follows: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The rate of pay is $25.00 per hour paid by electronic transfer weekly. The particulars for the position are as follows: My father is almost completely bedridden. He is of a very slight build. He is incontinent, however when he is able to get up, requires assistance using the commode. BASED ON THIS REQUIREMENT, PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH THE ELDERLY IS ESSENTIAL. He is an occasional pipe smoker and may smoke his pipe if he is moved to a chair in his room. There are no pets in the house. Your duties will include: Bathroom Assistance Manage daily medications Light housekeeping and laundry. Some meal preparation. The house is a modern, well maintained home, located on the West Mountain in Hamilton. It is minutes from the Lincoln Alexander Expressway and the 403. It is IMPERATIVE that the successful applicant be punctual every day, therefore having a vehicle would be an asset but not mandatory. A bus stop is 2 blocks away. Please communicate via this site.
