My name is Jane. We are looking for caregiver(s) for Monday -Thursday 8-5pm (fulltime) for our 24 year old daughter. She is young at heart, loves to laugh and have fun. She is non-verbal and uses a wheelchair & therapeutic stroller but can also scoot around. Responsibilities include: -dressing -assistance with feeding -help with assistive technology for communication -personal care -creating a stimulating environment -being a friend You must be able to do lifts and transfers (however she is small stature – height around 5 feet, weight 70 lbs) Most importantly, we are looking for an active individual who will enjoy doing 1-2 outings per day and spending time with her. Anna requires support at several of her group activities (Club Inclusion and Music Therapy) and needs a caregiver who likes to make plans and get together with Anna’s friends (and their caregivers). Anna loves going on outings and being with people. This is an hourly wage job paid bi-weekly or monthly. We need to fill M-Th urgently but also have evening and weekend hours - so please message me if you might be interested. We would like someone who can use their own car to transport Anna but at the very least must have a Drivers License. We will compensate for gas as well. We live in HALIFAX close to Purcell's Cove Rd/Williams Lake Rd intersection. A criminal background and child abuse registry check will be required.
