Looking for 1 or 2 experienced professional caregivers to take care of an elderly woman during the week and on weekends. Family members visit several days a week and will take over care when caregivers take time off. Payment will be from the Quebec Cheque Emploi program plus additional family funds. These positions would be ideal for people with CLSC or agency experience but who want to focus on quality care over quantity care. Duties include serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, assistance with hygiene (sponge bath), and light house keeping. Patient sleeps well at night but the family would consider live-in care if a candidate needs a place to live. Preference will go to candidates who live in or near the Roxboro/Pierrefonds/Dollard-Des-Ormeaux area. Caregivers should have transport but the family can make a vehicle available if required. Patient has dementia so patience, kindness and effective communication in English is required. For the right candidate(s), the family can be very flexible and accommodative.
