Hello, I come from a family of 9. As a middle child, and the second oldest daughter, I learned babysitting techniques, cooking skills (from scratch), cleaning, and more at a young age. In June of 2018, I graduated from the Educational Support (Educational Assistant) Program at Conestoga College. I am presently working part time as a tutor and Educational Assistant, and am looking for additional work in child care. I love kids and am passionate about working with kids. I am known to be compassionate, patient, kind, and display a calm demeanor. I have a valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED, Level C.

As a full-time babysitter of 2 children, I provided simple meals, cleaned up after meals, changed and washed diapers, dressed children, put them down for naps, played with the children, and with permission from their mom, took them on occassional visits to the farm. In addition, I taught young children in Sunday School several years which included doing crafts with them, classroom management, and teaching the lesson. Through my experiences in tutoring special needs children and those with learning difficulties, I am learning a variety of approaches to teaching students. Finally, as an EA, I have experience in feeding and dressing, and have multiple experiences in supporting students with behaviours and learning disabilities, Additional Experiences/Qualifications: In 2016 I had the oppurtunity to support a family who was fostering 3 children, ages infant to 5. I worked in their home 2 days a week, and had the opportunity to babysit the children on several occasions, as well as take the chidlren on walks, and give supervision to them. In addition, I helped prepare meals, performed kitchen clean-up, deep house cleaning, and helped can vegetables and fruit. I enjoyed the opportunity of learning about the challenges and successes of caring for high needs children from an experienced foster and adoption mom.

I graduated with High Distinction from the Educational Support Program at Conestoga College in June of 2018. I also have a valid Standard First Aid CPR/AED, Level C, and have Behaviour Management System (BMS) training.
