Hi. My name is Mirabel and I am currently a student at Wilfrid Laurier University, obtaining my undergraduate degree in arts. After school, I would love to get into social work, as I am a huge advocate of mental health, and the overall well-being of individuals.
I have been babysitting for 10 years now, and have been working in a gym daycare since 2014. I have always had a natural connection with children, and through the several psychology courses I have taken along with research of my own, I understand how crucial a child's upbringing and interactions are in their development process. I vividly remember the nanny's I had growing up, and can only dream of having the same positive impact on children myself.
I am a fitness and health lover, with a great deal of knowledge in this area - I strongly believe living an active and balanced lifestyle is so important for a healthy body, mind, and soul. When I am not at the gym, I love to spend time with good company, whether that be friends, family, co-workers, or even my dog; anyone who brings positivity into my life. Additionally, I love music, reading, and more recently, podcasts, as they aide in expanding my knowledge on a daily basis. Through this knowledge, I was able to work through several obstacles in my own life, and have learned the importance of self-love (among other things) - I pride myself in projecting this into every relationship in my life.
While I love technology just as much as the next, I know how destructive it can be. Because of this, I really do limit myself for my own benefit. My phone is always on Do Not Disturb, and I have all notifications turned off - in this way, instead of my phone controlling when I check it, I control when I check my phone. This limitation has changed my whole mindset in the greatest of ways.
I believe everyone is born with a gift, and these gifts are a pathway to ones passion and purpose. I feel as though I was put on this earth to help people, and in my opinion, nannying is a huge step in that direction. I would love to be that positive light in a child's life.
Please do not hesitate contact me if you have any questions whatsoever, I am more than happy to have a conversation. To conclude, I thank you for taking the time to read about me, and I hope you will consider me when making this important decision :)
