I am friendly and energetic, with many years of experience with all ages of children. I have done a little bit of everything! From drop in daycare, to summer camps, to registered programming, private childcare, and more! My professional care has included, day and overnight summer camps, drop in and registered programs, drop in daycare, private childcare, and running a before and after school care program as the Site Manager. I have also taught Home Alone and Babysitting courses for ages 9-14 years old. Families that I have worked with over the years have required me to care for anywhere from one child, to 5 children at one time. As a caregiver I choose to focus on fun, creativity, and positivity. I am very patient and loving, while maintaining an expectation of respect and communicating clear age-appropriate boundaries with any children in my care. My practice is loosely based on Montessori principles and I believe that children are very capable with the right guidance, but I am not formally trained in that area. I love to spend time outside and explore with the kids I am caring for. I am a good cook and can adhere to any dietary restrictions you may have. I like to keep things tidy throughout the day and have plenty of games to keep the kids involved in caring for their things as well. Child and youth program worker - 6 years Up to 30 children either in a 0-5, 3-5, or 6-12 year age range depending on programming. Site manager, before and after school care - 2 years Group of 20 registered participants ages 4-9 years old. Plan, implement, and oversee program and provide support for staff and children. Private Childcare - 14 years Caring for 1-5 children at a time in a 6 week to 13 year age range for various families.
