My name is Jamie . I am 28 and a single mom of 2 beautiful girls. I have recently left an 11 year run in retail and retail management and I am looking to redirect myself into a more meaningful career. I am a great multi-tasker and have almost always had 2 jobs, even while I was furthering my education. I am a certified education assistant and have particular skill with deaf/blindness and type 1 diabetes care. I have worked as a babysitter, a nanny, an education assistant, a respite worker and camp councilor in between my main job and I am looking to make this kind of work a full time change. I have a passion for books and reading, animals and of course, children. I hope we can meet soon.

-I began working as a nanny for 2 young girls when I was 14, this included summer care and occasional babysitting/over nighters and tutoring for several years. -I worked for 1 year in England as a classroom/education assistant and my duties ranged from working in the baby room with the infants to helping in the boarding house with students aged 12-18. My main assignment was with the 4-7 pre-prep group whom I worked with every day. This included some lifeguard type duties but I am not a trained lifeguard. -I began working as a respite worker for a foster mother with a deaf/blind child. I continued to work with him until he was in highschool. -I completed my education assistant certificate program, which required volunteer experience and 2 practicums in canadian schools. -Currently, I occasionally babysit and care for my own two girls. My eldest was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2014 and I have done a great deal of training relating to her care and dietary needs.
