Hello! My name is Cassidy, a 25 year old nanny based in Victoria. I have experience of 5 years working with children ranging from ages 1 to 18, both neurotypical and neurodivergent, within the foster care system. My background encompasses roles as a support person, advocate and even a temporary respite foster parent. Working with children is my passion and I have loved being able to guide them in their day to day lives, assisting them in their growth both personally and emotionally. I have a variety of skills to offer, including but not limited to cooking, housekeeping, running errands, doing laundry, helping with homework, and adhering to special dietary rules. Furthermore, I am well educated, holding a Master's Degree, a Bachelor's Degree, as well as certification in First Aid and CPR training. I am also a non-smoker and possess strong swimming skills making me a safe companion for children during leisure activities. My availability is full-time, throughout the weekdays, with a desire for a live-out arrangement. I can handle up to three children at a time and I am comfortable with children of all ages. Although I can't relocate or travel extensively due to personal commitments, I do have a driver's license which can be useful for errand running and child transportation. Please note that I would be willing to obtain a police check if required. Having worked tirelessly for 5 years fostering young lives, I am eager to continue my journey in the childcare field. If you're a family in need of a devoted, experienced, and educated caregiver, I may be just the right fit. Let's talk soon!

Hi there! I have previously worked as a child and youth care worker for a foster agency in Ontario, supporting and caring for young children and youth aged 4-18. I have experience working with a wide range of neurotypical and neurodivergent children, providing day to day support, while also assisting the foster parents in other various tasks and duties around the home (eg. meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, homework help, etc). I have also spend the past year working as a respite foster parent for young girls aged 11-15 who are in need of temporary placement. I have provided them a loving home during their time of need. I can send a detailed resume upon request. I enjoy working with children very much and since moving to Victoria I would love to continue working with children. I have a degree in Forensic Psychology and am currently getting my Masters in Counselling Psychology. In addition to my professional experience working with children and youth, I do have personal experience caring for children as I have 2 young nephews and 1 niece aged 7 months- 3 years who I have taken care of many times since they were born.

I graduated high school in 2016. From there I went to college and obtained my diploma in police foundations (Niagara College 2019). Since then I have also obtained my Bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology (Ontario Tech University 2021) and am currently in school to get my Masters in Counselling Psychology. My graduate studies are being completed online, therefore it is not an issue when it comes to hours of work.

Respite Parent (specialized foster parent)
In February of 2023 I opened a temporary foster home at the agency that I worked at (in Ontario, Canada). During this time I took in 3 young girls aged 11-15 who were in need of a home. The description is similar to that of parent, with the addition of working closely with the child welfare system and all additional personnel including birth families, therapists and social workers. This was a temporary career as I had plans to move to Victoria BC in January of 2024 but still wanted to help and provide support to children in need.

Child and Youth Worker
I started working part time at a foster care agency during my undergrad in Ontario, working with youth ages 4-18. Once I graduated I began working full time with the youth, in home and school settings as a support staff. My main responsibilities were to provide support towards the children and youth, assisting in day to day activities. While working in the various homes, I would be responsible for helping with homework, chores, laundry and dinner in support of the foster parents. While in school settings, I would be responsible for helping the children stay on task with school work and assisting as a support worker when needed.
