I come from an African/Portuguese background due to my parents being from Angola and Portugal and I am also fluent in Portuguese in terms of speaking and writing. I have been working with children since I was just 16 and got hired at my placement day care before I even graduated high school and worked there for 6 years with my ECA until I decided it was time to move on and explore other day care centers and environments. I am very patient and understanding of children's needs as for I have 7 siblings and I am the eldest/ first born. I can cook and clean if need because these are the type of jobs I am used to doing already while caring for children. I do in fact have a little one of my own and I assure you that I love every child as they were my own because in reality we are all Gods children's. I have 15 years of professional day care experience but also roughly 18 year's experience from being the eldest child to a house hold of 7 kids, I was always my mothers helper and a teacher/roll model to my younger siblings. I have worked with special needs, infants and even twins before so that is not a problem for me in any way. Changing diapers and feeding the children while I clean up after them is also a part of my job description. My ratio at the day care was anywhere between 5 to 12 kids so I am able to handle quit a bit on my own and still care for the children at the same time. I am proud to say that I am GREAT at multi-tasking when necessary. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am a easy going, fun, organized respectful and very family oriented young women
