Hi, my name is Erica. I am from Australia and have moved to Vancouver for two years. I decided to take this time off from my teaching career in Australia in order to expand my horizons and immerse myself in another countries culture. I have a Bachelor of Education majoring in Early Childhood and 4+ years of teaching and childcare experience. Teaching and working with children is my passion. I strongly believe in the importance of building positive and genuine relationships with children and their families and pride myself on using these positive relationships to create environments where children feel safe, supported, encouraged and stimulated to learn and grow. I love keeping busy and staying active and always ensure that when I am looking after children they get lots of outdoor time and fun activities to keep them entertained and busy. My hobbies include hiking, walking, yoga, reading and traveling.

I have four years of teaching experience working with children aged 4 - 12 years. During this time I have taken on many roles including classroom teacher, PE teacher, Music teacher, Language teacher and SEP teacher. As such I have a large repertoire of activities, games and experiences to share with your children. I also have experience working with younger children (1 - 4) years both in a childcare setting and babysitting.
