Tashi L.
I am Tashi, a diligent and affectionate nanny based in beautiful Vancouver. I bring to the table over 5 years of professional experience caring for children of diverse ages - from newborns to over 10 years old. My personal limit is comfortably working with up to three children at a time, including those with special needs. Being a mother myself, I understand children's needs with empathy and know both the joys and challenges of childcare. My non-smoking lifestyle, fluency in English, Hindi, and Nepalese, along with a clean police check play an added advantage in providing a safe, enriching environment for your little ones. I devote myself to part-time work ranging from the mornings to evenings from Monday to Sunday, with added capacity during evenings and nights over weekends. Though I'm currently in the process of acquiring a driver's license and can't travel by car, I am conversant with public transportation within the city. I have a versatile set of caregiving duties including but not limited to cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, preparing meals, laundry, helping with homework, adhering to special dietary rules, and bathing and dressing children. My aim is to make a tangible difference to your family by providing an environment where your children are nurtured with dedication and warmth. My academic background includes a high school diploma equivalent, further solidifying my commitment to children's intellectual growth. I can take on multiple roles such as Nanny, Mother's Helper, Virtual Babysitter, Special Needs Babysitter, Home daycare worker, or ECE, depending upon your needs. In conclusion, I am a responsible, compassionate nanny who looks forward to forging a positive relationship with your family. Looking forward to meeting you!
After completing high school, I worked as a full-time nanny for a couple in my home country for five years. Both parents worked at the Bhutan Power Cooperation Limited from 2012 to 2016. During this time, I cared for four children, two of whom were teenagers - a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old girl. My duties included cooking, washing dishes, doing laundry, and cleaning their rooms. I also bathed the 5-year-old, prepared nutritious meals, and spent time talking and playing with her. My main responsibility was caring for the 7-month-old baby, similar to a mother, feeding, changing diapers, playing, and taking him for monthly check-ups. I left this job when I became pregnant with my first child in 2018 and dedicated my time to my own children for five years. With my husband working outside the home, I took on all household tasks including cleaning, cooking, gardening, grocery shopping, laundry, and babysitting. In 2019, I gave birth to another daughter, doubling my responsibilities as a mother of two. I have been caring for my children for five years while also supporting my siblings who have now grown up - one sister in Australia, one brother running a restaurant in Bhutan, and the youngest practicing Buddhism. Despite my responsibilities, I never gave up on my dream of pursuing higher education. With the support of my spouse and family, I came to Canada to further my studies. Additionally, I have experience as a nanny in Canada, currently babysitting a 9-month-old baby girl since April 2024 and twins, two months old since May 2024. If needed, I can provide references.
